Epson Malaysia Leads Digital Transformation in Education Sector

  • Epson Malaysia continues its commitment to providing innovative solutions that turn ordinary classrooms into engaging, interactive learning spaces as the nation gears its younger generation towards a technologically driven future. Spurring this change are the company's interactive projectors, which promote collaboration and active student engagement.

As explained by Morikawa Tomohito, managing director of Epson Malaysia, these high-end devices allow teachers and students to engage with projected content in real-time writing, drawing, and annotating. By making more than passive information consumption possible, these projectors promote dynamic discussion, idea sharing, and critical thinking, Tomohito explained.

He further said that with interactivity using dual pens and multi-touch, various users can mark up at the same time, facilitating group collaboration and problem-solving in a more efficient and participative manner. Tomohito stated the role of top-quality visual aids in education simply cannot be underestimated, especially among visual learners who respond to excellent, vivid graphics.

Epson projectors use the latest 3LCD technology to provide outstanding color accuracy and brightness. This enables teachers to project clear, vivid images, even in well-lit classrooms, so that intricate topics like scientific illustrations, historical maps, and mathematical charts become easier to grasp.

Improved visual clarity keeps students engaged, allowing them to achieve greater understanding across a broad range of topics. Tomohito explained that the effects of interactive and visually enhanced learning tools reach far beyond the cosmetic. He added studies indicate that schools that are provided with such technology have a significant improvement in student participation.

For instance, one study in Malaysian schools found students in tech-enriched lessons had 25 per cent improved retention rates and higher interest in collaborative activities than their peers in standard classrooms. Interactive learning resources also cater to various learning styles, making it inclusive for students who would otherwise fail in regular classrooms.

Tomohito stated Epson's dedication to enriching digital learning spaces mirrors the global movement towards focusing on excellence in education in a technology-based world. By offering solutions that facilitate teamwork, streamline difficult ideas, and foster engaged learning, technology solution providers have a central role in determining the future of education.

Epson's solutions are also created with sustainability in mind, which mirrors a new global focus on sustainable practices. Most of Epson's projectors incorporate power-saving technology, which saves energy without sacrificing performance. This sustainability focus is consistent with Malaysia's broader environmental agenda, so that educational technology innovations do not cost the planet.

"As education systems increasingly adopt digital transformation, the emphasis should continue to be on developing environments that spark curiosity, nurture innovation, and equip students for the challenges of a digital future".

"By carefully incorporating technology, teachers can bridge gaps in conventional pedagogy, making students not only knowledgeable but also able to succeed in a changing global world", Tomohito says.
