Aboitiz Foundation Partners with LMP, TESDA for Community Impact

Aboitiz Foundation is expanding the reach of its flagship community programs by strengthening strategic partnerships with the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The collaborations aim to bring education, digital livelihood opportunities, and environmental resilience initiatives closer to municipalities across the country.

Through its partnership with LMP, led by National President Hon. Faustino 'Inno' Dy V, Aboitiz Foundation will work directly with local governments to identify communities that can benefit most from its three key programs: AuroraPH, Elevate AIDA, and CarbonPH. LMP will act as an institutional bridge, facilitating coordination between member municipalities and the foundation. This includes helping identify potential program sites, organizing consultations and orientations, and encouraging local government support to ensure smoother implementation.

The partnership addresses critical community needs. AuroraPH focuses on delivering power, connectivity, and digital learning opportunities to underserved schools in last-mile areas. Elevate AIDA and its expanded version, AIDA Plus, equip participants with digital skills and create clearer pathways to employment and livelihoods. CarbonPH promotes Nature-based Solutions to strengthen environmental resilience at the municipal level.

At the same time, Aboitiz Foundation is deepening its collaboration with TESDA to strengthen the link between skills training and actual employment. A Memorandum of Agreement was recently formalized among Aboitiz Foundation, TESDA Regional Office VII, Cebu Call Center Academy, and Visayan Electric for the AIDA Plus program. The partners also held a roundtable discussion to better align training curricula with industry requirements and job opportunities.

AIDA Plus builds on the success of Elevate AIDA, which was developed in partnership with Connected Women. While the original program focused on digital skills training, AIDA Plus advances the model by creating stronger skills-to-jobs pathways. Participants gain industry-relevant capabilities and improved access to certification and employment opportunities in the growing digital economy.

“Our partnership for AIDA Plus is about making sure that skills training leads to real opportunities. By working with Aboitiz Foundation, Visayan Electric, Cebu Call Center Academy, and our industry partners, we can better align training with the skills employers actually need and give our learners stronger pathways to certification and employment. When government and industry work together, we can equip more Filipinos with relevant, future-ready skills and help them participate meaningfully in the digital economy,” said Gamaliel B. Elevate AIDA and AIDA Plus focus on equipping individuals particularly those in underserved areas with marketable digital skills that can lead to remote work, freelancing, or formal employment. CarbonPH supports municipalities in implementing nature-based solutions that enhance climate resilience, protect local ecosystems, and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.

Together, the LMP and TESDA partnerships reflect a development model that prioritizes proximity and relevance. Municipal leaders gain access to proven programs and technical expertise, while communities benefit from improved educational infrastructure, stronger livelihood pathways, and greater environmental preparedness.
