Galgotias University welcomed a high-level Japanese delegation comprising government officials, industry leaders, and academic experts, along with representatives from the Governments of India and Uttar Pradesh, to explore academic collaborations and joint research opportunities.
The visit focused on advancing partnerships in key areas of Green Hydrogen, Electric Vehicles (EVs), and Semiconductors technologies critical to the global sustainability agenda while opening avenues for broader cooperation across multiple disciplines.
Discussions centred on joint research programmes, technology exchange, faculty and student mobility, and industry-linked innovation. The engagement is expected to create new pathways for Galgotias University students and researchers to contribute to clean energy, sustainable mobility, and next-generation manufacturing.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University, said, "Hosting such a high-level delegation on our campus is a proud moment for the University. It also demonstrates the growing importance of Greater Noida as a critical academic, industrial and transportation hub. We intend to convert these discussions into joint research projects, exchange programmes and industry partnerships that our students and faculty can participate in directly".
The visit highlights the deepening Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India and Japan. Both nations are leveraging academic and research collaborations alongside trade and investment. Japan brings expertise in precision manufacturing, clean energy, and industrial innovation, while India offers a young talent pool, scale, and rapid economic growth.
This collaboration comes at a time when Uttar Pradesh is strengthening ties with Japan in clean energy and advanced manufacturing, positioning the state as an emerging hub for green hydrogen, EV components, and semiconductor investments. Galgotias University aims to align its research capabilities and talent pipeline with these national and international priorities.
The delegation’s visit serves as a precursor to deeper engagement, with follow-up discussions planned in the coming weeks to translate conversations into concrete outcomes, including collaborative research, student-faculty exchanges, and industry partnerships.
