Joramco, the leading Amman-based aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility and engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jordan’s Ministry of Youth. The partnership aims to empower young Jordanians through targeted community development programs and greater exposure to aviation industry opportunities.
The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Raed Sami Al Adwan, Minister of Youth, and Fraser Currie, Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer of DAE Engineering. It underscores a shared vision of investing in Jordan’s youth as the driving force behind the country’s future economic growth.
Under the agreement, Joramco will actively support the development of the Deir Alla Youth Center while launching initiatives to raise awareness about aviation careers among young people across various governorates. The collaboration will focus on inspiring youth to pursue technical and professional paths in aviation, MRO, and related engineering fields through training, upskilling programs, and hands-on engagement.
Dr. Raed Al Adwan highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting that the aviation sector offers promising employment opportunities for young Jordanians. “We are committed to strengthening collaboration with both national and international organizations to expand training and empowerment initiatives for our youth,” he stated.
Fraser Currie emphasized the long-term impact of the initiative: “Young people are the driving force behind Jordan’s future, and investing in their development is an investment in the country’s long-term growth. Through this partnership with the Ministry of Youth, we hope to inspire more young Jordanians to explore the exciting opportunities available within the aviation sector while supporting initiatives that create lasting value for local communities.”

This collaboration comes at a time when Jordan is focusing heavily on youth development and human capital growth. The aviation industry, supported by world-class MRO facilities like Joramco, plays a vital role in creating high-skilled jobs and contributing to the national economy.
Joramco, known for its state-of-the-art maintenance capabilities and high standards of aircraft engineering services, sees this partnership as part of its broader commitment to corporate social responsibility and talent development in Jordan. By bridging the gap between education and industry needs, the agreement is expected to help young people acquire relevant skills and increase their employability in one of the fastest-growing sectors globally.
The partnership also aligns with national goals to promote technical education, entrepreneurship, and innovation among Jordanian youth. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and infrastructure support at centers like Deir Alla, Joramco and the Ministry of Youth aim to open new pathways for the next generation of aviation professionals.
This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of young Jordanians by providing them with better access to career guidance, practical training, and inspiration to pursue rewarding careers in aviation maintenance, engineering, and related technical disciplines.
As Joramco continues to strengthen its position as a regional leader in aircraft MRO services, its investment in youth development reinforces its role not only as an industry pioneer but also as a responsible corporate citizen committed to Jordan’s future.
