The company, through its private limited partnerships GNPower Mariveles Energy Center and GNPower Dinginin, has received recognition from the Department of Education for its continuing contribution toward improving education development in Bataan. Through the 'Iskolar ng Bataan' scholarship program, GMEC and GNPD committed P10 million over a five-year period to support aspiring professionals in critical academic fields. Earlier this year, the companies released P2 million to fund the education of 200 engineering students studying at state universities across Bataan.

The initiative is designed not only to ease financial pressure on students and families but also to strengthen the future talent pipeline in technical and engineering sectors that are essential for long-term economic and industrial development. By supporting students pursuing engineering education, the company is contributing toward building a more skilled and future-ready workforce for the region.

Through participation in the Aboitiz Foundation’s AuroraPH initiative, GMEC and GNPD are helping bridge connectivity gaps in schools located in remote and underserved communities.

One of the most impactful developments under this initiative has been support provided to Biaan Aeta Integrated School, where students and teachers now have access to solar-powered facilities and high-speed internet connectivity. This infrastructure allows schools to access online learning resources, digital classrooms, and educational tools that were previously difficult to reach due to connectivity limitations.

The initiative reflects how energy and technology infrastructure are becoming increasingly interconnected with educational progress. In many rural and underserved communities, lack of internet access continues to limit learning opportunities, making digital inclusion programs essential for creating equal educational access.

AboitizPower’s efforts also extend into teacher development and classroom learning enhancement. Through the Eskwelasugan Program, the company has introduced specialized teacher-training initiatives benefiting educators from 15 partner schools. The program utilizes the Alpabasa literacy method, a game-based teaching approach that combines music, movement, activities, and interactive learning techniques to make reading instruction more engaging for students.
