Elitery Malaysia, the edtech partner of Amazon Web Services, has marked the successful conclusion of the CendekiAwan Malaysia program, underscoring a major step in building a future-ready digital workforce. The initiative culminated in a high-energy closing event on April 20, 2026, celebrating student achievements in generative AI and cloud innovation.

Launched in November 2025, the program has engaged over 13,000 students across six universities, including Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Universiti Malaya, and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. Designed to bridge academic learning with industry needs, the initiative equips students with practical skills in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, with its impact set to expand through 2026.

A key highlight was the use of AWS PartyRock, a no-code platform that enabled students to build 227 functional applications using natural language prompts. These projects addressed real-world challenges across sectors such as digital health, education, financial inclusion, and sustainability, demonstrating the accessibility and potential of generative AI across disciplines.
