FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has deepened its partnership with non-profit organization Feed the Children by donating essential school supplies to underserved students in the Philippines. This initiative, part of the FedEx Cares global community engagement program, aims to empower young learners from farming and fishing communities in Cebu and Negros Oriental.
A total of 2,400 children will benefit from this effort, with 40 FedEx volunteers coming together to pack backpacks with vital educational materials. The distribution of these school kits is designed to ease the financial burden on families and encourage learning continuity as the new school year begins.
This collaboration addresses the broader educational challenges in the Philippines, where, according to UNICEF, only 50% of children aged 3–4 are enrolled in daycare, and just 78% complete basic education. By bridging these gaps, FedEx and Feed the Children aim to make learning more accessible and inclusive.
