Gachon University has taken a significant step toward global educational cooperation by signing a business agreement with the Center for International Education Development (CIED), an organization under the Ministry of Education of Vietnam, aimed at nurturing global talent. The signing ceremony, held on March 25 at the university’s Global Center, brought together officials from both sides, including Kim Sang-hyuk, head of Gachon University’s International Exchange Department, and Pantan Bin, vice director of CIED.

The partnership is designed to strengthen educational cooperation and promote human exchanges between South Korea and Vietnam. Under the agreement, Gachon University will offer undergraduate programs and Korean language training for high school graduates from Vietnam, while also providing opportunities for Vietnamese university graduates to pursue graduate studies at Gachon University. Both sides will collaborate to create additional models of educational cooperation with leading Vietnamese universities and jointly promote a wide range of international exchange activities.

The collaboration particularly focuses on fields where Gachon University excels, including engineering and medical education, with the goal of attracting top Vietnamese talent and supporting their professional development. “Based on Gachon University’s specialized educational strengths, we aim to help Vietnam cultivate outstanding talent and support their growth as global leaders”, said Kim Sang-hyuk. He emphasized that the agreement represents a meaningful opportunity to expand international exchanges and strengthen the educational network between Korea and Vietnam.

CIED, as a key institution under the Ministry of Education of Vietnam, plays a central role in promoting overseas study programs, running international educational initiatives, and building a global education network, making it a strategic partner for Gachon University’s efforts to internationalize education and attract talented students.
