GEMS Education has entered a strategic partnership with the London College of Fashion (LCF), part of the University of the Arts London (UAL), marking a major step in advancing creative education in the UAE. The collaboration aims to provide students with industry-relevant skills, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for higher education, professional careers, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the creative sector.
LCF, renowned for its research-led approach and deep integration with the fashion and creative industries, brings globally benchmarked education in design, business, and technology. By combining GEMS’ educational scale and leadership with LCF’s academic excellence and industry credibility, the partnership will offer experiential learning that bridges traditional classroom education with real-world application.

Dino Varkey, CEO of GEMS Education, emphasized that the partnership aligns with the group’s vision to prepare students for both university and future careers. Shabir Aslam, Director of International Partnerships at LCF, highlighted that this is LCF’s first formal academic collaboration in the UAE, aiming to develop skills, critical thinking, and industry awareness among young learners.
In the initial phase, GEMS and LCF plan to introduce short, specialist learning experiences, with more details on programs to be announced soon. The partnership is expected to set a new benchmark for creative education in the region.
