- Generative AI embedded into DBA research and learning, integrated into research design, strategy, and academic work
- Strong focus on applied skills and business impact, linking doctoral research to real-world decision-making
- Hands-on immersion prepares leaders for AI-driven roles, through case studies, teamwork, and practical AI applications
Golden Gate University (GGU) has completed a five-day Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) immersion in Singapore, placing Generative AI at the center of doctoral learning. The program showed how advanced business education is adapting to AI-driven workplaces by combining academic research with real-world business application.
Rather than treating AI as an add-on, the immersion fully integrated Generative AI into research design, business strategy, and applied learning. Participants shared on LinkedIn how AI tools supported business planning, book structuring, and dissertation development, helping bridge theory and practice.
AI researcher Shuchita Singh, who attended the program, described it as a strong balance of academic rigor and practical insight. She highlighted sessions on GenAI business use cases, strategy, data-driven storytelling, and change management. The program also included team-based, hands-on AI case studies and presentations, strengthening collaboration and problem-solving skills.
A key focus was research clarity and direction. Through structured feedback, doctoral candidates refined thesis ideas, sharpened problem statements, and aligned research with measurable business impact. Sessions on topic proposal development and dissertation planning further reinforced the importance of applied relevance.

Instead of teaching AI as a separate subject, GGU embedded it into how research questions are framed, tested, and translated into outcomes. This reflects a broader shift in business education, where AI is now a core leadership and research capability.
By integrating Generative AI into its DBA program, Golden Gate University aims to prepare business leaders to apply advanced research and technology skills to real-world challenges in an increasingly AI-led economy.
