Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay said it was launching its flagship Professional Certificate Programs in Cybersecurity and Software Development. As per the institute, these are 12-month, entirely online programmes with proctored on-campus exams, meant for working professionals, college faculty and students in third or fourth year in engineering or computer science related discipline.
IIT aims to build expertise and real-world job readiness in high-impact domains with the help of this Professional Certificate Programs in Cybersecurity and Software Development.
"We are bridging the critical skill gap our country faces through rigorous, accessible and highly hands-on learning", said Kameswari Chebrolu, Lead Faculty for the programs.
The program participants will have the opportunity to finish three structured courses taught by IIT Bombay faculty. The industry-relevant curriculum also focuses on weekly hands-on labs that aim to simulate closely professional work environments and tools found in top organizations.

IIT, Bombay asserts that India's cybersecurity business anticipated to cross USD 10 billion by 2025 and software development fueling creativity in industries, these programs equip students with skills required for high-in-demand jobs such as, Full-Stack Developer, Security Analyst, Security Architect, DevSecOps Engineer, and more. Both the programs' applications are now open and the course is anticipated to begin by September 1, 2025.
Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, established in 1958 as the second IIT, is known globally as a pioneer in the area of science and engineering education and research. The Institute has been declared an 'Institution of Eminence' by the Ministry of Education (earlier Ministry of Human Resources Development) on July 9, 2018.
The Institute comprises 17 departments of studies, 35 other academic units (Centres/ Programmes/ Academic facilities/ Hubs/ Externally funded centres and Labs) and three schools. In the past six decades, over 75,000 engineers and scientists have been graduated by the Institute.
