Mandai Wildlife Reserve to Launch Asia's First 'ZooSchool' and Forest Event Hub

    • Singapore-based Mandai Wildlife Group and NTUC First Campus will introduce 'ZooSchool' in June 2025, with wildlife-centred learning programs for kids from 0 to 12 years old.
    • Mandai Wildlife East will feature new facilities in late 2025, such as Colugo Camp for overnight visits year-round, the Green Canvas event space, and two indoor play areas.
    • Dining Alley opens in May 2025 with international and regional food brands such as Roberta's Pizza, Sushiro, Watami, and Song Fa, enriching visitors' experiences at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

'ZooSchool', a collaboration between Mandai Wildlife Group and NTUC First Campus, will open in June 2025 providing immersive nature-inspired wildlife education programmes throughout the wildlife parks of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve for preschool to 12-year-old children.

The schemes are devised to capture the sense of adventure and desire for outdoor play and physical exploration in children. They will learn vital survival skills including rudimentary first aid, tying knots and navigation while enjoying themselves and learning new things about nature.

ZooSchool is housed within the same building as Curiosity Cove and debuts with three-day holiday programs for the June holidays, giving young adventurers the opportunity to enjoy specially curated excursions in Singapore Zoo and Bird Paradise. More programs, including preschool customized programs, will be unveiled over the coming months.

Other thrilling new attractions are arriving in the eastern sector of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve during the latter half of 2025 with the highlights including Colugo Camp – a whole new overnight stay experience; additional dining options such as Dining Alley offering a range of home-grown brands and international cuisine; Green Canvas - meeting and exhibition venue;as well as two nature-themed indoor play attractions, Exploria and Curiosity Cove.

Mike Barclay, Group Chief Executive, Mandai Wildlife Group said "we began the year with the launch of the Mandai Boardwalk, which has welcomed more than 200,000 visitors within four months. We now eagerly anticipate adding further thrilling features to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in the coming months, including a special education centre for kids, dedicated campsite with interactive tours, interactive event spaces and lively new restaurants".

In line with the continuing growth at Mandai Wildlife East, the Colugo Camp will be opening in the third quarter of the year. Bookable throughout the year, the permanent location boasts 20 safari tents with breathtaking views, complemented by shared dining and shower facilities. With a capacity of up to four persons per tent, the all-inclusive camping experience includes meals and guided tours of the wildlife parks. Colugo Camp will remain accompanied by seasonal glamping classics - Glamping in the Wild at the Singapore Zoo and Glamping with the Penguins at Bird Paradise. Each camping experience features carefully tailored programmes to ensure that every stay will be entertaining as well as educational.

For corporate groups looking for an out-of-the-ordinary space for their events, Green Canvas, a 2,800sqm forest-themed event venue beside the recently opened Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, is the handy solution. With its 1,420sqm Exhibition Hall, which can host over 500 people in various configurations of events, it is best used for traveling exhibitions, trade exhibitions, product launches and more. The complex also has a 187-seater auditorium and versatile meeting rooms for intimate discussions and presentations, and it is thus the ideal location for staging multi-day conferences in a unique wildlife and nature destination.

Besides these thrilling features, Mandai Wildlife East will also be home to a cluster of new restaurants run by iconic brands at the Dining Alley. Opening sequentially starting from May 2025, they will feature New York's legendary wood-fired pizza Roberta's Pizza, Japan's Sushiro with its inaugural Digiro concept (virtual conveyor belt) in Singapore and Watami Group's special Dining and Bar concept. Alongside them are award-winning homegrown brands - Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine, and many more. Several of the restaurants are advantaged by pleasant views over the new wetland courtyard public space. Additionally, The Courtyard is a new restaurant which is open in the evenings and provides Asian and Indian buffets. It will also increasingly provide all-day dining, with its à la carte menu in the months ahead.

Mandai Wildlife Group is dedicated to caring for the planet and protecting animals and nature. Conservation education is intrinsic in all interactions with the Group, to inspire action for a healthier world.
