Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC) has reached a significant milestone in the education sector by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Curtin University Malaysia. The partnership aims to expand NEC’s academic collaborations internationally, providing students and faculty with global exposure, research opportunities, and professional development initiatives.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in Sarawak, Malaysia, with Vice Chairman Chakravarthi Mittapalli and Director Smt Suhasini Mittapalli representing NEC, while the Vice Chancellor of Curtin University Malaysia represented the partner institution. The event brought together senior delegates from various global universities, highlighting the importance of international academic networking. Among the distinguished attendees was YB Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Malaysia, who served as the Chief Guest. NEC’s delegation included key faculty members, Dr Venkata Shiva, Dr Raju Kolluri, and Dr Sk Shareef, showcasing the college’s commitment to global integration.
The collaboration focuses on several key initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programs, training initiatives, research and development projects, and international academic conferences and workshops. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chairman Chakravarthi Mittapalli emphasized the importance of international exposure for NEC students and faculty. Our students get a chance to learn from the professors in person at Curtin University, providing the right medium to learn and grow”.
Director Smt Suhasini Mittapalli added that the collaboration positions NEC on the global academic map, opening doors to partnerships with leading institutions worldwide.
