Phillips Education, Hindalco Launch Advanced Skills CoE

    • An advanced technical training Centre of Excellence has been launched to strengthen manufacturing and industrial skills.

    Phillips Education has partnered with Aditya Birla Group’s Hindalco Industries Ltd to launch an Advanced Technical Training Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. The initiative aims to strengthen technical education, improve employability, and prepare local youth for advanced manufacturing roles.

    The new facility, named the Aditya Birla Skills Centre, was inaugurated on January 30, 2026, by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Senior leaders from Hindalco and Phillips Education were present at the launch, highlighting the collaboration between industry, government, and skilling partners.

    The Centre of Excellence is designed as a high-end training hub focused on Manufacturing 4.0 and technology-driven jobs. It offers industry-aligned curricula, practical training frameworks, and hands-on exposure to modern manufacturing processes. The goal is to create a job-ready workforce that meets the evolving needs of India’s industrial sector.

    Hindalco leadership highlighted the role of Phillips Education in delivering practical, industry-relevant training that supports workforce development. Phillips Education said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to building a sustainable and globally competitive talent pipeline through demand-driven and outcome-based skilling.

    The CoE also supports Hindalco’s CSR and ESG goals by empowering local communities with skills that lead to long-term employment. The initiative aligns with national priorities such as Viksit Bharat, Skill India, and Make in India, while helping Andhra Pradesh move closer to becoming a hub for high-tech manufacturing.
