RIT Dubai, Quddurat Launch Career-Focused Tech Programs for UAE Teens

    • New Industry Exposure Programs to give UAE high-schoolers hands-on learning
    • Students will access engineering, robotics, gaming, and design labs at RIT Dubai
    • Partnership aims to build early career clarity and job-ready skills

RIT Dubai and Quddurat have formed a new partnership to launch Industry Exposure Programs (IEPs) that give UAE high-school students practical, simulation-based experience in fields shaping the future workforce. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding to co-create short programs that help students explore academic interests and gain early technical confidence inside a real university environment.

Under the agreement, RIT Dubai, the global campus of Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, will open selected labs, simulators, and specialized equipment to students aged 15-18. Faculty members will work with Quddurat to design structured curricula that run during school breaks, combining guided exercises, simulations, and interactions with experts. The goal is to support informed decisions about college majors and future careers by offering early exposure to advanced technologies and emerging disciplines.

Quddurat officials said the initiative will help students understand career paths before they enter university. Yousuf Al Bastaki, Vice Chairman of Quddurat’s Advisory Board, said, “This partnership turns curiosity into capability by letting students experience engineering, robotics, gaming, and design with real mentors and real simulations”.

Dr. Yousef Al Assaf, RIT Dubai President, highlighted that the collaboration strengthens the university’s mission of experiential learning. “We are extending our research-driven environment to high-school students, giving them access to fields that will define tomorrow’s jobs”, he said.

The programs will include modules in electrical and mechanical engineering, robotics and control systems, gaming and interactive media, new media design, and computing and cybersecurity. Both partners may also team up with multinational companies to enhance industry relevance.

The agreement was formalized on November 19, 2025, at a signing ceremony held at RIT Dubai.
