Samsung Medison, KAHA Build Nationwide Vet Ultrasound Training Network

    • Partnership aims to upgrade veterinary ultrasound skills nationwide
    • Program supports hands-on training and career-ready competencies
    • Focus on improving companion animal healthcare standards in Korea

Samsung Medison has partnered with the Korean Animal Hospital Association to create a nationwide ultrasound education network designed to strengthen skills and job readiness among veterinarians across Korea.

Under a newly signed agreement, Samsung Medison and KAHA will roll out a structured training framework that supports veterinarians at every stage of their careers, from beginners to experienced specialists. The initiative responds to growing demand for advanced diagnostic skills as pet owners seek higher-quality medical care for companion animals.

The program will offer customized, one-stop training that combines classroom learning with hands-on practice. KAHA will contribute expert instructors and trained animals to ensure practical exposure, while also helping develop online learning modules and academic resources to widen access for working professionals.

Both partners will also collaborate on research to create animal-specific ultrasound imaging protocols, helping veterinarians apply technology more effectively in real clinical settings. Joint courses will be integrated into existing KAHA training programs, giving young veterinarians early exposure to in-demand diagnostic skills.

Beyond education, the partnership aims to support long-term career development and strengthen professional standards in the veterinary sector. By linking training programs with conferences and symposia, the initiative is expected to open new learning and networking opportunities for current and future veterinarians.

The collaboration marks a shift from equipment supply to skill-driven workforce development, with a clear focus on education, employability, and quality care.
