- Outreach programs conducted in schools across Hyderabad and Bengaluru to directly engage students
- Strong focus on digital literacy, responsible online behavior, and awareness of digital well-being
- Introduction to global undergraduate pathways, highlighting flexible international study options for Indian students
SIM Global Education and the University at Buffalo (UB) have conducted a series of academic outreach sessions in Indian schools to promote digital literacy and global learning opportunities. The sessions were held across Hyderabad and Bengaluru, engaging students who are exploring international undergraduate education at an early stage.
University faculty directly interacted with students, combining discussions on digital behavior with insights into global education pathways. A key session titled The Dark Age of Internet was led by Dr. Jessica Covert, Visiting Instructor of Communication at the University at Buffalo. The seminar helped students understand how digital environments influence attention, learning, emotional health, and social interaction.
The discussions encouraged students to reflect on their online habits and build stronger communication and critical thinking skills. These skills are increasingly important for academic success and future careers in technology-driven and media-related fields.

Alongside digital literacy, students were introduced to undergraduate degree pathways offered through the SIM Global Education and University at Buffalo partnership. Kandis Pogoda explained how students can begin their American undergraduate degree in Singapore before continuing their studies in Buffalo, New York. The pathway offers flexibility, global exposure, and access to high-quality education.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment by SIM Global Education and the University at Buffalo to research-led teaching, digital awareness, and accessible global education options. By bringing these conversations into classrooms, the outreach helps Indian students make informed choices about their digital lives and future academic journeys.
