A new training and education center for automotive engineering will be set up in Syrdarya following a partnership between Gulistan State University and China’s Beifang Automotive Education Group. The initiative aims to strengthen vocational education and prepare students for careers in the automotive sector.

The agreement was signed during a recent visit by a Gulistan State University delegation to China, led by Rector Mukhsin Khodjiev. During meetings with Beifang Automotive Vocational Education Institution, both sides discussed long-term cooperation in education, applied research, skills training, and knowledge exchange.

Under the memorandum of cooperation, the new automotive engineering center will be established at Gulistan State University in line with international standards. It will feature modern laboratories, updated teaching facilities, and industry-focused training tools. The partners will jointly design curricula and learning materials to ensure students gain practical, job-ready skills.

The collaboration also includes faculty and specialist exchange programs, professional training, and internships in China. Students will benefit from joint certification, allowing graduates to earn internationally recognized qualifications, which can improve their employability both locally and abroad.
