Thailand is taking a significant step towards digital education by introducing Smart Classrooms in 10 pilot schools in Buriram and Si Sa Ket provinces. The initiative, backed by UNESCO, the Ministry of Education, and Huawei, aims to strengthen digital infrastructure and promote AI-enabled learning.
The project supports Thailand's national education goals, including the 'Transforming Education in the Digital Era' policy and the National AI Strategy. The Smart Classrooms are equipped with high-speed internet, interactive displays, and collaborative platforms, offering students hands-on learning experiences. Teachers will also receive professional development to better integrate AI tools into their lessons, preparing students for future jobs in a tech-driven world.

One of the standout features of this initiative is the pairing of each 'mother school' with four 'child schools' in the region, creating a digital learning network. During the launch, 45 teachers attended workshops where Huawei’s technical experts demonstrated how to use AI tools in classroom settings, providing a clear roadmap for integrating digital innovation into everyday teaching.
By combining cutting-edge technology with teacher training, the initiative aims to create inclusive and sustainable educational opportunities that equip students with the skills needed in today's fast-evolving job market.
