The Mindfulness Academy of Asia and the Community Learning Center are organizing the first "World Mental Health Conference and Retreat 2025" to create mental health awareness by means of mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. The conference was organized at The American School of Bangkok Green Valley with prominent speakers from Europe, the United States, and Asia, including Thailand. The main purpose is to inspire people to give more attention to their mental health for a happier and more successful life.
The conference was opened by Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Vice Minister of Education, and was graced with the presence of prominent guests, such as diplomats and military officers. Keynote speakers are Mr. Hartanto Gunawan, Director of the Community Learning Center, and other experts from renowned institutions, who will present their observations on mental health education and practices.
Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana, a co-host of the conference, said mental health problems like stress, anxiety, and depression should be handled. She noted the necessity of a balanced approach that involves mind, concentration, and wisdom to make good decisions. Workshops and lectures are featured at the conference to enable participants to comprehend and manage their mental health problems.
Mr. Gunawan introduced Research Meditation, which is based on Buddhist philosophy, to make the minds of people stronger and wiser. He thanked the organizers for hosting the conference in Thailand, which has influenced his life immensely.
The conference will feature several sessions, including "Revolutionizing Mental Health Curriculum in Education" and discussions on law enforcement resilience, emphasizing the need for mental health in high-stress careers. The conference is from April 24-27, 2025, and will promote an increased understanding of mental health and its relevance to everyday life.
