Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, Petteri Orpo, in the Zayed Educational Complex in Dubai, to share ways of enhancing education cooperation to attain mutual national educational objectives.
The episode discussed the major issues, such as innovative education, academic cooperation and new teaching strategies. The program included the sharing of effective practices in curriculum planning, new learning practices, teacher training programs, along with an examination of Finland's regional pedagogical practices.
The session was attended by Mohammed Al Qasim, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Amna Mahmoud, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Finland, Tuula Yrjola, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the UAE, and top officials from both sides.
In the meeting, Sarah Al Amiri highlighted the Ministry of Education's intention to access international expertise in education, especially that of Finland, to build partnerships that improve the competitiveness and overall performance of the national education system.
Al Amiri highlighted the strong academic and educational relations with Finland, noting that the gathering was intended to enhance cooperation, create partnerships and share experiences. She highlighted the mutual commitment towards developing the national educational system and attaining its strategic vision.
During the sidelines of the meeting, Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri led the Finnish delegation on a visit to the Zayed Educational Complex. She highlighted its cutting-edge facilities, such as state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, play areas, and innovation spaces, built to meet the UAE's educational ambitions and establish a culture of innovation as a sustainable strategy in education.
