- MoU to deliver cochlear implant and rehabilitation services
- Focus on therapy training, early intervention, and skill development
- Initiative supports education access and future job readiness
The Zayed Authority for People of Determination has signed a memorandum of understanding with Mediclinic Middle East to strengthen cochlear implant services and long-term rehabilitation support for People of Determination. The partnership aims to improve learning outcomes, communication skills, and future employment opportunities through early and structured intervention.
Under the agreement, beneficiaries will receive a complete care pathway that includes medical assessments, cochlear implant surgery, post-operative follow-up, and ongoing hearing and speech rehabilitation. These services are designed to help children and adults improve language development, classroom participation, and independent living skills.
A key focus of the MoU is capacity building. Mediclinic will support specialized training programs and workshops for rehabilitation professionals, particularly in speech and language therapy. The initiative also includes awareness sessions for families, educators, and technical staff to highlight the importance of early detection of hearing loss and timely therapy for better educational and social outcomes.

Officials said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to building skills, improving access to education, and creating sustainable pathways to employment, while enhancing quality of life for individuals and their families.
