The Digital School, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has partnered with Starlink to expand digital education to learners in remote and underserved regions worldwide. The collaboration combines reliable satellite connectivity with structured digital learning programs, helping students gain knowledge, develop skills, and prepare for future careers.
Announced at the World Government Summit 2026, the partnership is part of the UAE’s broader commitment to equitable, future-ready education and global collaboration. Under the agreement, Starlink will deliver high-speed internet, while The Digital School will design and deploy a comprehensive digital education ecosystem, including online learning platforms, tailored curricula, and teacher training.
The initiative’s first phase covers 100 sites globally, with flexible expansion plans based on impact and readiness. Early implementations have equipped three schools in Lesotho with satellite connectivity, computers, and integrated digital education systems, ensuring a measurable and sustainable impact. The program also includes enrichment pathways in space sciences, inspiring students and connecting learning to future-focused careers.

Since its launch in 2020, The Digital School has reached over 800,000 learners worldwide and trained more than 30,000 educators, offering content in seven languages to promote inclusivity and accessibility. The partnership with Starlink strengthens the UAE’s mission to empower students with knowledge, digital skills, and career opportunities.
