The Belarus Women Entrepreneurs' Business Forum in Vitebsk was launched simultaneously with the official visit of a delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan. The forum has developed into an important platform for the consolidation of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan, especially in education, science, and medicine. By convening leaders, scholars, and businessmen from both countries, the forum opened up possibilities for exploring new areas of cooperation and for emphasizing the contribution of women to the shaping of economic and social development.
Within the framework of the forum, a special session on 'Belarus-Uzbekistan: Prospects for Bilateral Cooperation in Education, Science, and Healthcare' was held. In this session, Uzbekistan's First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Shokhrukh Daliyev, explained the commitment of the government toward developing opportunities for women at educational and professional levels. He stressed that these reforms and support systems have resulted in the gradual increase in the number of females in higher educational institutions, signifying a major stride toward gender equality in educational institutions.
Daliyev also referred to the government's initiatives in fostering youth entrepreneurship as a primary source of innovation and sustainable long-term economic growth. Initiatives that lend support to young innovators through funding opportunities for startup ventures have not only availed tangible possibilities but have also instilled an entrepreneurial culture among the youth. He emphasized that such efforts are crucial in creating an innovative economy in which men and women are equal partners to growth and competitiveness on the global market.

Highlight of the forum was the signing of a number of cooperation agreements between top universities of Belarus and Uzbekistan. The agreements are anticipated to consolidate partnership in education, boost scientific research, and stimulate the exchange of knowledge and experience. Among the universities that signed memorandums of understanding were the National University of Uzbekistan, Andijan State University, Fergana Technical University, and Termez State Engineering and Agro-Technology University. In cementing these alliances, both nations have indicated their willingness to cooperate closely in increasing research collaborations and student and faculty exchanges.
The agreements further seek to increase the global visibility of scientific outputs from both countries and enable enhanced recognition of common projects and innovations. The focus on international collaboration is an expression of the common perception that in the present-day connected world, developments in science and education cannot be achieved in seclusion but need active cooperation across borders.
The Vitebsk forum therefore ended on a promising note with tangible results that transcend rhetoric and pave the way for action on the ground. For Uzbekistan and Belarus, the event underscored the value of fostering women's entrepreneurship and scholarship and laid a firm foundation for future cooperation on key sectors that influence both social and economic development.
