Xsolla Partners Benilde for Global Game Publishing Platform

    • Xsolla has partnered with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde to support student game development and global publishing opportunities
    • The collaboration will create a Benilde-branded game distribution platform, allowing student-made games to be showcased, tested, and released worldwide
    • The initiative aims to strengthen the Philippines’ role in the global gaming industry by connecting education with real-world game monetization and distribution tools

The global gaming industry is getting a fresh talent pipeline from Southeast Asia as Xsolla, a leading video game commerce platform, teams up with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in the Philippines to reshape how student-made games reach the world. The new partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Manila, is designed to connect aspiring developers directly to global audiences through real publishing infrastructure and industry tools.

At the heart of the collaboration is the creation of a dedicated Benilde-branded game distribution platform, essentially a curated digital space where student-developed titles can be showcased, tested, and published. This gives students studying game design and development not just classroom experience but a live ecosystem where their projects can be played globally, reviewed by users, and refined for commercial readiness.

The initiative also builds on Benilde’s long-standing role as a pioneer in game development education in the Philippines, having launched the region’s first dedicated degree program in 2009. With the country emerging as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing hubs for interactive entertainment, the partnership strengthens its position in the global gaming industry ecosystem.

Beyond publishing opportunities, Xsolla will provide students and faculty with access to analytics tools, technical training, and global distribution systems, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world game monetization. Industry leaders, including representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines, witnessed the signing, highlighting national support for expanding the country’s creative tech sector.

Executives from Xsolla emphasized that Southeast Asia, especially the Philippines, is becoming a major frontier for game innovation. They described the partnership as a launchpad for student developers, giving them not only visibility but also the infrastructure needed to compete globally.

With this collaboration, Benilde students are no longer just learning how to build games they are stepping directly into the global market where their ideas can become playable, publishable, and potentially world-shaping titles.
