Cartier Thailand, in association with Chulalongkorn University, welcomed a celebration of the success of social entrepreneurs who graduated from the Cartier Women's Initiative (CWI) Entrepreneurial Program a brief program for women entrepreneurs in Thailand. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, who awarded the program graduates certificates. The welcome address was given by Ms. Pornpreya Vivadhnajat, Cartier Thailand's Managing Director, and congratulatory remarks were given by Ms. Yanina Novitskaya, Chief Executive Officer of Cartier Southeast Asia and Oceania. The ceremony took place on May 8, 2025, at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
The Cartier Women's Initiative (CWI) is a worldwide initiative embodying Cartier's century-long dedication to supporting women entrepreneurs leading social change through business innovation. This has been advanced in Thailand to the CWI Entrepreneurial Program to empower social entrepreneurs with critical skills and knowledge to equip them for business and entrepreneurship. The program is based on core business operations, leadership qualities, business instruments, and mechanisms that allow participants to expand their businesses globally and take a chance to participate in the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards in the future. It seeks to empower Thai entrepreneurs to make a positive impact in the world through businesses driven by purpose. Chulalongkorn University President Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat stated that not only are the 26 graduates of this program entrepreneurs, but they are also changemakers.
For six weeks, they left behind their business leadership hats to engage in this intensive program. The learning and experience gained by them will equip them to helm their businesses and find innovative solutions to fuel global change. This partnership between Chulalongkorn University and Cartier upholds a common vision to empower businesses that extend beyond profitability and reach social impact. He also extended an invitation to apply for the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2026, scheduled in 2026. Ms. Pornpreya Vivadhnajat, Managing Director of Cartier Thailand, said that the CWI Entrepreneurial Program was created to empower and develop the capacity of entrepreneurs to run sustainable businesses with positive purposes. She was impressed and inspired by seeing the development of the program participants, who showed creativity, teamwork, and the positive energy developed among the community.
Ms. Yanina Novitskaya, Cartier Southeast Asia and Oceania CEO, appreciated the commitment and perseverance demonstrated by all participants in the CWI Entrepreneurial Program.
She observed that Thailand is one of the leading nations in female leadership, with numerous women in executive positions indicia of the great potential of Thai women. As the Cartier Women's Initiative marks its 20th anniversary, Thailand will be the venue of the awards in 2026. She urged participants in the program and other women social entrepreneurs to apply for this international initiative that fosters business and entrepreneurial development within an active community of leaders of social impact.
Cartier Women's Initiative (CWI) Entrepreneurial Program is a six-week intensive course co-designed and operated by Cartier and Chulalongkorn University. It involves detailed content and hands-on practice that covers entrepreneurship basics, business operations, and pitching skills. The program is facilitated by Dr. Preechaya Sittipunt, Chief Global Learning Officer. Women entrepreneurs operating social enterprises are encouraged to apply for the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2026 even if they have not been on the CWI Entrepreneurial Program.
