CBSE Class 12 Special Exam Datesheet 2026 Out for West Asia

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the official date sheet for the Class 12 special examinations scheduled for candidates from West Asia countries. These special exams have been arranged for students who could not appear in the regular board examinations due to the ongoing Israel-Iran tensions in the region. The board has fixed one examination centre in each country based on the List of Candidates submitted by schools.

According to the official notification, the special examinations will be conducted between 23 October and 28 October 2026. Most papers are scheduled from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, while a few skill-based subjects will have a shorter duration of two hours, ending at 12:30 pm. Students who have already submitted the LOC for these special exams will be eligible to download their admit cards.

The detailed schedule begins on 23 October 2026, a Friday, with four major subjects lined up: Political Science (028), Economics (030), Mathematics (041), and Applied Mathematics (241). All these papers will be held in the morning slot from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The following day, 24 October, will see Psychology (037) and Business Studies (054) in the three-hour window, while Physical Activity Trainer (845) will be conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

After a gap on Sunday, examinations resume on 26 October with Biology (044), Information Technology (802), Marketing (812), and Multimedia (821) scheduled for the full duration. Artificial Intelligence (843) will again follow the shorter two-hour pattern. On 27 October, Home Science (064), Informatics Practices (065), and Computer Science (083) are lined up. The special examination series concludes on 28 October with English Core (301), one of the most important compulsory subjects for Class 12 students.

Admit cards for these special examinations will be made available for download from 12 October 2026. Candidates must log in using the same credentials they used while applying for the special exam. The board has clearly stated that only those students whose names appear in the submitted LOC will receive admit cards. Students are strongly advised to download the admit card well in advance and take a clear printout.

The admit card will carry essential details that every candidate must verify carefully. These include the candidate’s full name, roll number, name of the examination, subjects and subject codes, exact name and address of the examination centre, reporting time, exam duration, photograph, signature, and important instructions. Any mismatch in personal details should be reported immediately to the school or the concerned regional office.

CBSE has also issued a set of strict guidelines that all candidates must follow. Students must carry the original hard copy of the special examination admit card. The admit card issued for the regular examinations will not be accepted. Candidates should reach the examination centre at least one hour before the scheduled start of the paper. It is recommended that students visit the centre a day earlier to familiarise themselves with the route and avoid last-minute delays.

Electronic devices of any kind are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. This includes mobile phones, smartphones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, headphones, calculators, pagers, and any other digital gadgets. Entry will not be permitted once the examination has begun, and candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall before the scheduled end of the paper. Any student found using unfair means or indulging in malpractice will be debarred from continuing the examination and may face further disciplinary action as per board rules.

These special examinations reflect CBSE’s effort to ensure that students affected by geopolitical disturbances are not deprived of the opportunity to complete their Class 12 board assessments. Schools in the affected West Asian countries had earlier submitted the LOC after assessing which students had been unable to appear due to the prevailing situation. The board has now finalised the centres and released the complete timetable so that students and parents can plan accordingly.

Students appearing for these exams are advised to revise the syllabus thoroughly and follow the same preparation strategy they would have followed for the regular board examinations. Since the papers will be conducted under the same pattern and marking scheme, the standard of evaluation will remain consistent with the main examinations held earlier.

Parents and teachers should ensure that candidates carry only the permitted stationery items and the original admit card on the day of the examination. Any attempt to carry prohibited material may lead to cancellation of the candidature. Clear communication from schools regarding the exact centre address and reporting instructions will help avoid confusion on examination days.

With the datesheet now available, eligible candidates can begin final preparations and download their admit cards as soon as the link becomes active on 12 October. The complete schedule has been released so that students from West Asia can complete their Class 12 board requirements without further delay caused by the regional tensions.
