Cognita Middle East (Cognita ME), the regional hub of the global Cognita schools group, has announced a major expansion by partnering with five schools and extending its presence into Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. The move strengthens its regional footprint and reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and holistic education.
The new schools joining Cognita ME are Downe House Riyadh, King’s College Riyadh, Downe House Muscat, Cheltenham Muscat, and King’s College Doha. With these additions, the group will now operate 14 schools in the Middle East, building on its existing nine schools in the UAE and Kuwait. Student numbers in the region will grow to nearly 22,000, supported by 4,000 staff members.

In Saudi Arabia, Cognita has partnered with Downe House Riyadh, the first premium British girls’ school in the Kingdom, and King’s College Riyadh, the first British private school in the country. In Oman, the group has added Downe House Muscat and Cheltenham Muscat, both of which have already achieved strong academic results. In Qatar, Cognita partnered with King’s College Doha, a British curriculum school known for its outstanding GCSE and A-Level results.
