Data Lake Inc., the authorized Starlink integrator in the Philippines, has successfully delivered high-speed satellite internet to 100 remote public schools nationwide, in partnership with the Melco Resorts (Philippines) Foundation Corporation and the Department of Education (DepEd). The initiative, known as the 100 Schools Project, is hailed as one of the country’s most technically complex and transparently executed education connectivity programs.
Using enterprise-grade Starlink High-Performance kits, gigabit routers, Omada access points, and structured cabling, Data Lake deployed the infrastructure across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in record time. Notably, 39 PISA-assessment schools were activated within just 17 days, showcasing the company’s field engineering expertise and efficient cross-island logistics network.
The impact has been immediate. Surveys show 93.4% of teachers are satisfied with the new internet, 88.7% can now seamlessly access online learning platforms, and overall school connectivity satisfaction has improved by 66.2%. Schools previously struggling with slow or unstable connections can now conduct virtual classes, access DepEd resources, participate in online meetings, and support digital assessments effortlessly.
