DU Launches Global Internship Program with Japan for Tech Talent

    • DU students can apply for paid Japan-linked internships, gaining hands-on experience with leading Japanese companies in cutting-edge technology sectors
    • Program offers global exposure in high-demand tech roles, including AI, software development, motor control, system design, and ADAS, helping students build international career-ready skills
    • Top performers may receive full-time job offers, with pre-placement opportunities allowing talented interns to transition directly into long-term roles in Japan or with partner companies

The University of Delhi (DU) has invited students to apply for international internship opportunities under the India-Japan Talent Bridge (IJTB) program, a government-backed initiative supported by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The program aims to connect Indian talent with leading Japanese companies and build future-ready global skills.

The initiative is being run by DU’s Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the Dean Students’ Welfare Office. Interested students can register through the Talendy Job Portal to access internship and employment opportunities with Japanese firms operating in advanced technology sectors.

The internship will run for two months, from May to July 2026. Selected candidates will primarily work in Japan, though both online and hybrid options are also available. Students who perform well during the internship may receive pre-placement offers (PPOs), allowing them to convert the role into a full-time position.

The program offers roles in software development, artificial intelligence, data science, motor control engineering, system design research, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These positions are designed to equip students with hands-on experience, industry exposure, and globally relevant technical skills.

DU regularly shares such opportunities through its official channels on LinkedIn and X, reflecting the university’s growing focus on employability and international career pathways. In recent months, the university has also rolled out initiatives like the VC Summer Internship and job fairs to strengthen student-industry engagement.

Students can find detailed information and apply through the CPC website or register directly on the Talendy Job Portal.

The India-Japan Talent Bridge program highlights DU’s push to prepare students for global careers by combining education with real-world work experience, skill development, and international mobility, key elements in today’s competitive job market.
