IIM Jammu and AIT Thailand Launch Dual Degree MBA in AI

    • Indian Institute of Management Jammu and the Asian Institute of Technology signed an MoU to strengthen academic and research collaboration between India and Thailand.
    • A Dual Degree MBA in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics was officially launched to develop globally competitive, tech-driven business leaders.

    The Indian Institute of Management Jammu and the Asian Institute of Technology have signed a major agreement to strengthen academic cooperation between India and Thailand. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 13 February 2026, followed by the formal launch of a Dual Degree MBA Program in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics on 12 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam during the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026.

    The program was officially launched by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the presence of several senior government leaders and academic heads. The event marked an important step in promoting AI-driven education in India.

    The MoU was signed by Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, and Professor Pai-Chi Li, President of AIT Bangkok. The agreement creates a broad framework for cooperation between the two institutions. It includes student and faculty exchange programs, a dual degree MBA, a dual doctoral program, joint research projects, professional certification courses, and academic events such as conferences and seminars.

    Speaking at the event, Prof. Sahay said that Artificial Intelligence is changing leadership, business, and society. He noted that the new MBA program aims to develop ethical and globally competitive leaders who can use AI for sustainable growth and innovation. He added that the initiative supports India’s long-term development vision under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

    Professor Pai-Chi Li said the partnership brings together AIT’s strength in technology and innovation with IIM Jammu’s excellence in management education. He added that the collaboration will promote research, entrepreneurship, and student mobility across South and Southeast Asia.

    The partnership marks a significant milestone in international academic cooperation and strengthens global ties in AI-focused management education.
