- INSEAD and Tsinghua SEM renew strategic alliance, extending TIEMBA programme until 2032

INSEAD, The Business School for the World, and Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), together, announced to extend their strategic alliance for another five years. This is nearly two decades of success for the Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA (TIEMBA) programme.
The new agreement was signed by Professor Francisco Veloso, Dean of INSEAD, and Professor Bai Chong-En, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, at the ceremony in Beijing. The ceremony was attended by faculty, staff, students and alumni of both schools.
Professor Francisco Veloso, Dean of INSEAD, added, "I am extremely proud of our close collaboration with Tsinghua SEM. Together, we have developed a really global programme which not only prepares executives to lead across borders but also develops in-depth knowledge of business both in the East and in the West. We look forward to continuing this experience and empowering the next generation of global leaders".
INSEAD's presence in Asia has grown significantly over the past two decades, anchored by its Singapore campus and strengthened through strategic partnerships such as TIEMBA. Today, INSEAD Asia Campus serves as a vital hub for world-class leadership education, with a diverse portfolio of programmes designed to develop responsible leaders across industries.
The school's Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) Asia track has drawn high-level leaders from throughout the region, with in-depth learning experiences designed to suit the nuances of Asian markets. MBA participants also have the option of starting out at INSEAD's Singapore campus, reflecting the school's commitment to equipping global business leaders with a rich appreciation of Asia.

Over the past four decades, Tsinghua SEM has become one of the world's most acclaimed business schools, a magnet for entrepreneurial activities and top professionals from across China and beyond. The TIEMBA dual-degree program started in June 2007 with its first cohort of 45 students from 17 countries. Since then, the 22-month program has graduated more than 680 international executives from 51 countries with two of the world's top academic institutions' credentials.
Conceived specifically for experienced professionals, the TIEMBA programme is a combination of East and West. With its modular convenience and support for career progress, the program provides both near-term relevance and long-term value. Participants are accorded global exposure, diverse peer-to-peer interaction, and a carefully crafted strategic curriculum to equip them to lead purposefully across markets and cultures.
In the last 18 years, the TIEMBA programme has held a position of among the world's best EMBA programmes. Its alumni work in diverse industries and geographies, and numerous hold C-suite or entrepreneurial positions with worldwide influence.
The new pact will continue the TIEMBA programme until 2032, hosting future cohorts at INSEAD's global campuses in Fontainebleau, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi, and Tsinghua SEM's Beijing and Shenzhen campuses.
They will be members of two influential alumni networks upon graduation. These worldwide networks provide lifelong membership in a dynamic, active community of leaders, supporting personal development, business partnerships, and international reach.
