The Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) has signed a new software development agreement with KAICOM Co. Ltd., a Dhaka-based IT services and consulting firm, to improve the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) registration process in Bangladesh. The agreement was formalized at the JUAAB office in Dhaka, marking a step toward enhancing digital access for Japanese language learners across the country.

The deal was signed by JUAAB President and National University Treasurer Professor Dr. A. T. M. Zafrul Azam and KAICOM Founder and CEO Anjan Das, representing their respective organizations. The partnership focuses on building a more streamlined and user-friendly digital system for JLPT registration, addressing longstanding challenges faced by students and professionals seeking certification in Japanese language proficiency. The JLPT exam is a globally recognized qualification that plays a critical role for individuals pursuing education, employment, or cultural exchange opportunities related to Japan.

JUAAB, a non-political and social organization comprising Bangladeshi graduates from Japanese universities, has been actively involved in promoting Japanese language education and cultural exchange. Its members serve in universities, research institutions, and both public and private sectors, contributing to academic and professional development in Bangladesh. The organization has also been responsible for organizing the JLPT in collaboration with the The Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh.

Officials say the new system will significantly improve efficiency, reduce registration barriers, and provide a more accessible experience for candidates. The initiative reflects a broader push toward digital transformation in education, aiming to support learners with modern, technology-driven solutions.
