Korea Southern Power Co. Commits to Third Year of Public Safety Education Programs

  • Southern Korea Power Co. will be proceeding with its participation in public safety education programs for the third straight year.On the 2nd, Southern Power revealed that it has signed a business agreement with major public, government, and civic groups, such as the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Korea Occupational Health Association, the Korea Education Facilities Safety Institute, and the Korea Fire Insurance Association. The agreement was signed at Mugunghwa Hall in Seoul Government Complex.

    Visiting Safety Experience Class is a model public-private collaborative safety education program that has been offering life safety education since 2013, after a test operation in 2012. The program targets to offer safety education in places where there are insufficient safety experience facilities.

    This year, Southern Power will expand the scope of its safety culture activities by increasing the educational target group to not only children but also adults, including parents and office workers, through the operation of visiting safety experience classes from 2023.

    Southern Power says last year, 51 experience classes were held in 26 areas across the country, which received a warm response from local communities.

    Seo Sung-jae, Technology and Safety Vice President, said, "We will do our best to discharge our social responsibility as a public organization and take the lead in building a safe and win-win safety ecosystem for everyone through safety education."
