    • The partnership aims to empower Arab youth by offering engaging, high-quality STEM content in Arabic, with a focus on innovation, accessibility, and self-learning.
    • Content will be vetted by TikTok, Common Sense Networks, and Poynter to ensure educational value and accuracy, supporting a shared mission of fostering knowledge-based communities.

Madrasa e-learning platform under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has joined hands with TikTok as the latter introduced its globally popular STEM Feed in the UAE. The deal brings the world's largest free Arabic language learning library on the platform, representing a major milestone in the combined mission of the two organizations towards greater learning opportunities, fostering innovation, and enriching communities throughout the region.

The revelation was made at the signing of a cooperation agreement with His Excellency Saeed Al Eter, Assistant Secretary General at MBRGI; Dr. Waleed Al Ali, General Coordinator of the online platform of Madrasa.org; and Kinda Ibrahim, Regional General Manager of Operations for TikTok Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and South Asia. The alliance seeks to provide high-quality, authenticated content on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to Arab youth numbering millions in innovative formats appealing to learners today

Dr. Waleed Al Ali added that MBRGI is constantly increasing its strategic partnerships and projects to disseminate education and knowledge, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which prioritizes education as being at the core of creating a new Arab generation that is empowered to bring about positive change in society. MBRGI is also eager to realize the instructions by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, for the creation of a world-class learning environment that equips Arab students with up-to-date knowledge and skills, enhancing their creativity and contribution to a knowledge-based future.

Releasing the biggest free Arabic education video library on TikTok represents a new era for Madrasa to further enable self-learning and equip Arab students with necessary know-how. The project provides accessible, high-quality material in an innovative way that combines systematic learning with entertaining presentation, tapping into social media and educational video reach and popularity.

Dr. Al Ali pointed out that this launch considerably adds to Madrasa's achievement since 2018, pointing out its remarkable video views, increasing subscriber rate, and regional and global acclaim for its impactful role in advocating self-learning and enhancing the Arabic language among new generations.

The tie-up also betters TikTok's long-term approach to drive educational influence through collaborative partnerships. It provides STEM subject matter while generating interest, inspiring imagination and encouraging young people in the region to become STEM professionals.

Kinda Ibrahim added: "Launching the STEM Feed in the UAE continues our effort to empower the next generation of innovators". With close to 10 million STEM-related videos posted worldwide on TikTok in the last three years, it's apparent that there's a huge demand for education content", she continued "Collaborating with MBRGI is part of TikTok's long-term vision to drive educational influence through partnership". By initiating the STEM feed in UAE and through Madrasa's largest collection of free Arabic educational videos, we want to motivate the community to explore, experiment, and learn more. This is in line with our mutual vision for putting education at the forefront as a leading factor in community development".

The alliance broadens Madrasa's vision of making Arabic a language of contemporary science and education. Since its inception in 2018, the platform has presented over 7,000 interactive lessons in STEM fields and Arabic language arts, gaining global recognition from bodies such as UNESCO and ESCWA.

The STEM Feed is now open to all users, with users 18 and older being able to access it by visiting their app settings, Content Preferences, and enabling the STEM Feed. The feed will include top STEM creators like @Da7ee7, @annanscience, @anastalks, @hussienelkazaz, @guinessandmathguy, @moqasem and @lklogic as well as partner content like Majarra, a reliable source of quality Arabic content.

In order to preserve the quality and integrity of the STEM Feed, all content will be closely reviewed by TikTok's in-house teams with assistance from Common Sense Networks and Poynter. These collaborations guarantee that each item of STEM content is fully vetted for appropriateness as well as accuracy. Common Sense Networks will review the educational value of the content and Poynter will confirm the reliability of the information. Anything that falls below these standards will not be showcased.

MBRGI and TikTok together are opening the doors to knowledge-based societies by unlocking STEM education to become entertaining, accessible, and effective. They are enabling the youth to explore, test, and innovate one short video at a time.
