RSL Group and Casio Partner to Advance Keyboard Education in India

  • RSL Group and Casio have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen keyboard education across India. The collaboration combines RSL’s expertise in contemporary music education with Casio’s range of musical instruments to create new learning resources and professional development opportunities for music teachers nationwide.

The partnership will begin with two main initiatives. The first is a series of co-branded keyboard and piano learning resources. The second is a nationwide programme of teacher development workshops designed to help educators teach contemporary keyboard and popular music styles with greater confidence.

The organisations aim to reach more than 150,000 music enthusiasts and over 1,000 music teachers across India within the next three years. The programme seeks to build a shared culture of music learning by expanding access to structured, relevant resources and training.

As part of the collaboration, RSL Group and Casio will jointly develop three physical learning method books supported by interactive digital lesson content that features Casio instruments. The titles are:

    • Beginner Piano Method Book
    • Beginner Keyboard Method Book
    • Advanced Keyboard Method Book

These resources draw on RSL’s established method-book approach and newly developed keyboard-specific content. They are intended to give learners clear pathways into contemporary music-making, helping them build confidence, creativity and practical musicianship skills. The books will be supplied with selected Casio keyboard models.

Casio instruments will be integrated across different stages of musical development. Beginner learners will use the Slim & Smart keyboard range, designed for accessible and beginner-friendly learning. Students progressing further will work with Standard and Indian series keyboards that support core musical fundamentals. Advanced and professional learners will have access to Casio’s premium Digital Piano lineup, suited to serious study and performance.

Alongside the new publications, RSL Group and Casio will roll out a series of teacher development workshops starting in 2026. Experienced RSL trainers from India and the UK will lead the sessions. The workshops will address common challenges in teaching keyboard and popular music styles. Topics will include practical teaching techniques, ways to engage learners, contemporary repertoire and methods for fostering creativity through keyboard learning.

The programme is designed to support teachers at every stage of their professional journey. Workshops will take place in major cities with strong interest in music education, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Guwahati, Aizawl, Dimapur, Kochi, Madurai and Trichy.

Tim Bennett-Hart, CEO of RSL Group, described the partnership as an opportunity to expand access to high-quality music education. “By combining RSL’s educational expertise with Casio’s leadership in music technology, we’re creating new opportunities for both learners and teachers through innovative resources and professional development. Together, we’re helping more people engage with music in ways that are accessible, relevant and inspiring,” he said.

Arup Gohain, Country Director of RSL India, noted the rapid changes in India’s music education landscape. “Teachers are looking for practical resources and training that reflect the way students learn music today. Through this partnership, we’re combining innovative learning materials with hands-on professional development to help educators build confidence and inspire more learners through keyboard education,” he said.
