UiTM Holds Ambassadorial Lecture to Expand Global Academic Links

    Universiti Teknologi MARA strengthened its international academic engagement by hosting an Ambassadorial Lecture aimed at expanding global collaboration in education, research, and talent development. The event took place at the Faculty of Business and Management at the Puncak Alam campus.

    The lecture was delivered by Karomidin Gadoev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia. UiTM’s senior leadership, faculty members, and representatives from the Uzbek Embassy attended the session, reflecting growing interest in cross-border academic partnerships.

    UiTM Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Shahrin bin Sahib @ Sahibuddin saidm, universities play a central role in knowledge-driven diplomacy. He noted that such platforms expose students and faculty to global policy thinking, leadership perspectives, and shared international goals, all of which are vital for building future-ready graduates.

    During his address, Dr Gadoev highlighted Uzbekistan’s higher education ecosystem and its openness to international cooperation. He stressed that universities are key to national development, serving as hubs for knowledge exchange, innovation, and skill creation that support economic and social progress.

    The program also featured a tree-planting ceremony to mark sustainability, followed by a certificate presentation and networking session. These activities helped strengthen engagement between academic leaders and diplomatic representatives.

    The lecture gave UiTM students and staff direct exposure to global academic trends and international collaboration opportunities, reinforcing the university’s goal of producing skilled, adaptable, and globally competitive graduates.
