University of Birmingham Dubai Celebrates 125 Years with 125 Scholarships

  • The University of Birmingham Dubai will provide 125 scholarships to its aspiring students under the 125 Scholarship program, to mark 125 years of the institution. The university will provide scholarships to 125 deserving international students, including Indians. Students who join in September 2025 are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

    Undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines, such as engineering, health, business, education, law, computer science, and life sciences, are eligible to apply for the internship. Academic merit will be used to shortlist the awardees of the scholarship.

    The University of Birmingham Dubai has announced the introduction of its highly prestigious '125 Scholarship', which will pay around 50% of the tuition fees for chosen students. The initiative is aimed at sponsoring 125 talented students and provides recipients with a special chance to study at the university's Dubai campus.

    As per an official announcement, the scholarship is an extremely competitive award offered by invitation only, which highlights its exclusivity and academic merit focus.

    Talking about the initiative, University of Birmingham Dubai Provost Professor Yusra Mouzughi commented: "We are delighted to launch the '125 Scholarship' in honor of 125 years of impactful education and forward-looking research at the University of Birmingham. The initiative shows our commitment to empowering change-makers who will make their contributions towards the vision of the UAE's knowledge-based economy."

    She also underscored the legacy of the institution, stating: "What better way to commemorate 125 years than by facilitating and empowering tomorrow's changemakers in the UAE."

    The university's UK campus had also announced an equivalent scholarship for postgraduate taught (PGT) Master's degrees from September 2025, with funding ranging from £4,000 to £5,000. It provided more than 50 academic excellence scholarships to deserving Indian students, with a September 2025 deadline for submitting such requests. It provided a £4,000 scholarship for international students and £5,000 for Indian students pursuing studies in the University for September 2025.
