As a step towards enhancing global academic levels and facilitating English language skills among its stakeholders, Uttaranchal University entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cambridge University Press & Assessment, UK, here. The alliance formally appoints Uttaranchal University as a Cambridge English Educational Partner, initiating a significant and future-oriented collaboration.
Present were the President of the University, Jitender Joshi, who welcomed Saurabh Tiwari, Regional Sales Manager, and Manish Kumar Varshney, Territory Sales Manager, Cambridge University Press & Assessment. The program began with a welcome speech by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, School of Liberal Arts.
During the ceremony, Saurabh Tiwari stated the prime goals and advantages of this partnership, highlighting the significance of English qualifications recognised worldwide in defining student careers. The MoU was signed on behalf of both institutions by Dr Anuj Kumar Rana, Registrar of Uttaranchal University, and Saurabh Tiwari, finalising the alliance.
Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, presented his visionary thoughts on the necessity of English proficiency in the current global education and employment scenario. Ankita Joshi, Vice President of the University, appreciated the Cambridge team for taking their support to the next level and commended Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar for being key to making the collaboration happen.
TK Arunachalam, South Asia Country Head stated, As Cambridge English Educational Partner, the Uttaranchal University will now be able to deliver high-quality English language learning programmes and Cambridge English Qualification preparation assistance. One of the key offerings under this tie-up is the 'Upskill' course, aimed at developing effective practical English communication skills.
The course will culminate in certification on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) which is accepted by major multinational firms and institutions across the globe, and also assist students in preparing themselves for international examinations such as IELTS and TOEFL.
The signing of the MoU is a milestone in Uttaranchal University's efforts towards building students' readiness for the global world and their communication abilities. Through this agreement, the university hopes to create a nurturing and inspirational learning environment that inspires students to compete and excel at the global level.
