Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, has recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Teleflex Incorporated, a global leader in providing medical technologies to establish UroLift Center of Education for South Asia in India.
The UroLiftTM System applies a minimally invasive technique to treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a prevalent condition characterized by bothersome urinary symptoms that may lead to loss of productivity, depression, disrupted sleep, and reduced quality of life.
"The UroLiftTM System is a non-heat, non-cutting, non-removal, non-destructive BPH treatment. The UroLiftTM System offers immediate symptom relief and protects sexual function. In most cases, no catheter is needed post-procedure", quoted the press release.
