    • Partnership between Fujifilm Healthcare Asia Pacific and UP Manila seeks to empower healthcare and IT professionals through expert training in medical imaging, AI, and healthcare informatics.
    • Initiative aligns with President Marcos' directive on medical education reform, promoting the Philippines' leadership in healthcare innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Fujifilm Healthcare Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. and the University of the Philippines (UP) recently set up the UP-Fujifilm Asia Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy (UP-FAHLA) Center for Advanced Healthcare Informatics, a world-class regional center that aims to empower healthcare and IT professionals with the capabilities they require to spearhead digital transformation in contemporary healthcare.

Being the newest member of Fujifilm's award-winning FAHLA network across Malaysia and Thailand since 2019, the UP-FAHLA Center is dedicated to providing high-level training and education in healthcare informatics.

It will empower clinician, healthcare and IT professionals to master new medical technologies through special courses in Basic Healthcare Informatics, Medical Imaging Informatics, Enterprise Imaging and AI-based tools such as Digital Pathology and 3D Pre-Surgical Planning.

FUJIFILM Asia-Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy (FAHLA) is one of the educational programs established by FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. The Academy seeks to gather renowned universities in the Asia-Pacific region to jointly develop and provide structured medical educational workshops.

"These are part of our reaction to President Marcos' directive last November (Private Sector Advisory Council) to provide undergraduate program in radiation technology in UP Manila and state universities and colleges", UP Manila Chancellor Dr. Michael Tee reported.

UP-FAHLA Center is on the verge of spearheading innovation, enhancing the expertise in digital healthcare transformation, redefining education, research and innovation in the region. "This upskilling program will ensure our future faculty remain current with state-of-the-art technology", Tee added.

The launch of the UP-FAHLA Center, backed by Fujifilm Philippines, further reflects Fujifilm's continued commitment to healthcare education and innovation. The move puts the Philippines at the forefront in bridging technology and healthcare in the Asia-Pacific region.

Fujifilm as a one-stop, complete solutions in medical imaging and diagnostics provides a complete range of advanced medical systems from CT, MRI, Digital X-ray and Digital Mammography to Endoscopy, Ultrasound, IVD, AI-based solutions and Medical Informatics.
