RCSI Bahrain Hosts Delegation from Strathclyde University for Collaboration

  • The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Medical University of Bahrain welcomed the executive members of the University of Strathclyde – Bahrain to campus for discussions on higher education opportunities. The two institutions engaged in conversations about the programs available in Bahrain and examined potential areas for collaboration in research and mutual projects of interest.

    Professor Sameer Otoom, President of RCSI Medical University of Bahrain, commented, “We extend our sincere congratulations to the University of Strathclyde – Bahrain on the occasion of the opening of their new campus. We extend a warm welcome to our new colleagues, and we value the contribution the University of Strathclyde – Bahrain brings to Higher Education in Bahrain by enhancing the offering of undergraduate programmes for the benefit of the Bahraini youth and strengthening the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading Higher Education hub”.

    RCSI Medical University of Bahrain is a constituent university of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), which was founded in Dublin in 1784. As an independent private university, RCSI Medical University of Bahrain welcomed its first cohort of 28 medical students in 2004. Today, its purpose-built campus accommodates over 1,600 students across the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, and Postgraduate Studies and Research. This not-for-profit health sciences institution is dedicated to education and research, aiming to foster positive change in all aspects of global human health.
