- Candidates must accept allotted seat between July 28 (5 PM) and July 30 (4:59 PM)
- Fee payment deadline to confirm admission is August 1, 4:59 PM; further rounds likely based on seat vacancy
The University of Delhi will release the second allotment list for UG admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) today, July 28. Students who had joined the second round of admissions will be able to check their seat allotments from 5 pm onwards on the official website. This is a critical stage in the DU UG admission process, with thousands of potential students waiting for their college placements to be confirmed on the basis of updated preferences and seats available.
Earlier this week, the university had released the list of available seats during the second round of counselling, which enabled candidates to modify their programme and college choices. This facility was available between 5 pm on July 24 and 4:59 pm on July 25, enabling students to plan strategically on the basis of the new seat availability data.
After the second allotment list has been released, candidates who get an allotment will need to accept the seat allocated to them within a specified period from 5 pm on July 28 until 4:59 pm on July 30. The acceptance is crucial because inaction within the specified time will result in forfeiture of the allotted seat. After the candidate confirms the seat, the concerned colleges will conduct the verification and approval of the online applications by July 31.

To seal their admission, students need to make the payment of the admission fee online, with the last date for the same being August 1 by 4:59 pm. Only when this payment is made will the admission become conclusive.
The university has also shown the possibility of declaring additional rounds of seat allotment, contingent on how many seats are left vacant post this cycle. With the admission season in full swing, the CSAS portal continues to remain the focal point for every update and activity that the candidates need to undertake, which underscores the importance of applicant vigilance to deadlines and notifications in order to hold a spot at one of India's most prestigious universities.
