    • Recruited Civil and Mechanical Engineering diploma holders will work in core roles like Quality Assurance, Site Execution, and Land Survey in Middle East projects.
    • AMU’s rigorous pre-placement training and faculty mentoring played a key role in the success, drawing praise from Vice Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon.

In an illustrious moment for Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), 21 students from the University Polytechnic (Boys) have obtained coveted international placements with Sobha Constructions, a multinationally headquartered Dubai-based real estate group. This stellar achievement underscores not only the scholarly and technical excellence of AMU's students but also the university's developing global footprint in skill development and employment.

The placement drive, organized by the Training and Placement Office (General) and the Training and Placement Office of University Polytechnic together, provided fresh scope for diploma students in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The chosen students will engage in varied jobs in core areas like Materials and Logistics, Quality Assurance, Site Execution, and Land Survey, which would feed into large infrastructure and real estate projects of Sobha Constructions in the Middle East directly.

The successful candidates include Javed Malik, Arbaz Ali, Md. Arzoo, Mohd Kaseem, Md. Zeeshan, Md. Tabish, Md. Farman, Kashif Umar, Hamid Khan, Faizan Mustafa, Mohd Yaser, Mohd Salman, Arman Hasan, Faiz, Kamil, Md. Sameer Ali, Mohd Farooq, Talha Irfan, Abuzar Habib, Tausif Qamar, and Nasir Ali. These young professionals are part of a bright generation of technically qualified graduates ready to deliver on an international level.

A crucial element in this achievement was the pre-placement preparation program of AMU. For making its students prepared enough for such competitive placements, the university organized thorough interview preparation workshops. Campus faculty members Dr. Mohd Kafi, Dr. Mohd Mohsin, and Dr. Janisar Akhtar were pivotal in their preparation of technical training according to industry requirements. Adding to the technical sessions were career grooming sessions by Mr. Mohmmad Imran (IPS), Registrar, AMU, and Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), who guided students on interview protocol, soft skills, and how to prepare an effective CV.

AMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon conveyed warm felicitations to the chosen students and praised the faculty for their tireless efforts. She reiterated that these placements reflect the unflinching commitment of AMU towards academic excellence, industry-relevant training, and its vision of developing international career avenues for students from all disciplines.
