The Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET) has been designated as a core member of the Impact Action Council, a strategic group of prominent organisations and philanthropists under the Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA), brought together by a common commitment to spur action for good. This accreditation is a turning point in ABET's mission, as it is now among a group of only 27 global organizations that have committed to making a powerful social impact. ABET joins other highly respected global leaders like the Gates Foundation, UBS, Wellcome Trust, and Rockefeller Foundation in building a better, more sustainable world.
Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA) is an interactive platform that connects more than 80 mission-oriented organizations globally. The platform is centered on developing scalable solutions to major global issues in the fields of people, planet, peace, and progress. PAA strives to drive the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by strengthening high-impact collaborations, driving innovation, and enabling knowledge sharing among organizations.
Being a core member of Impact Action Council, Aditya Birla Education Trust will have a strategic contribution to make towards this global effort. The membership offers ABET the chance to engage with a vast array of leading partners and further build upon its current efforts in such imperative areas as mental health, period poverty, and education.

ABET has long championed social causes under the themes of breaking barriers and obliterating stigmas. Under its Mpower initiative, ABET has been at the forefront of advocacy around mental health issues, raising awareness, providing counseling, and offering support services to 180 millions of Indians since 2016.
Mrs. Neerja Birla, Chairperson of Aditya Birla Education Trust, participated in a high-level panel discussion at the PAA Summit, alongside Smt. Smriti Irani, Honourable Minister of Women and Child Development, Government of India and Belinda Tanoto of the Tanoto Foundation. During the session, Mrs. Birla shared key insights on the intersection of mental health, education, and gender equity, drawing from ABET’s grassroots initiatives and policy-level advocacy.
