AIMS International, the world's leading amusement safety education company, has formally entered the Asia-Pacific region with the successful staging of its first-ever AIMS Asia Pacific Safety Seminar. From April 21 to 25 at the Pan Pacific Singapore, the event was a major milestone for the organization and the amusement industry in the region.
The seminar included speaker experts, including Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA) representatives, and combined industry leaders for an intensive five-day program. AIMS International joined forces with CASY Engineering Consultancy, Yogeeswaran Sivasithamparam, and Girish Jagajeevan to produce a high-level event meeting global safety standards.
AIMS International Executive Director Amy Lowenstein began the seminar with a keynote address on best practices in North America, with more than 40 hours of training sessions thereafter. Subjects touched upon included permitting, operations, inspection, maintenance, electrical systems, welding, corrosion, risk assessment, and ASTM F-24 Rides Standards.
"The enthusiasm and participation during the week was motivating", AIMS board member Rob Gavel commented. "We appreciate Yogee and his team's active support and effective organization".
After its first success, the AIMS Asia Pacific Safety Seminar will return to Singapore in April 2026. Registration and sponsorship details will be announced soon on the AIMS website.
