Baliwag Polytechnic College students recently took part in Globe Telecom’s largest Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP) session to date, benefiting over 3,500 young learners. The program focuses on responsible digital citizenship, helping students stay safe online while embracing emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and blockchain.
Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, emphasized the company’s commitment to building a safer, more inclusive digital future for Filipino youth. “This event empowers students to be responsible digital citizens and seize new opportunities in the evolving digital economy”, she said.
The session, led by four Globe DTP Ambassadors, included lessons on cybersecurity, safe internet practices, responsible AI use, and an introduction to blockchain technology. The program aims to equip students with the confidence and knowledge they need to thrive in the digital world and prepare for future careers.

Al Lawrence Cruz, Vice President for Administration and Finance at Baliwag Polytechnic, praised the program for helping students understand the practical benefits and risks of new technologies. He said the college supports the DTP Ambassadorship Program to raise awareness about cyber threats across the country.
Globe continues to encourage schools, local governments, and community groups to adopt the program, aiming to nurture a generation of smart, safe, and responsible digital users throughout the Philippines.
