In a touching show of solidarity and kindness, fan clubs of Filipino stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco joined hands to raise over P100,000 in children's rights and emergency education assistance. The joint campaign was led by the BarDa Fans Club and Barbienatics, the fan bases of the GMA Sparkle stars, both ambassadors of Save the Children Philippines.
The BarDa Fans Club initiated the drive with a P100,000 donation, followed by Barbienatics' contribution of P10,000. These were raised through birthday donation drives for David Licauco in June and Barbie Forteza in July. A fan-driven birthday salute to their idols initially turned out to be a heartwarming act that will benefit thousands of children, particularly those impacted by recent typhoons and flooding nationwide.
Barbie articulately conveyed her heartfelt gratitude through a statement that read, "Being loved and supported by our fans is already such a blessing. Knowing they now also stand for what we stand for, especially for children's rights and education, is truly moving. Lalo na ngayon, when many families have been affected by recent typhoons and floods". Her words resonate with the increasing sense of awareness and action among fanbases, who are now translating their fandom into real-world change.

David Licauco likewise embraced saying thank you, saying, "We're proud of the fans who are now champions, as well. Saludo kami sa inyo. Thank you for channeling your energy and kindness towards something greater than all of us such as the future of children". Not only was his statement thanking the fans but it also highlighted how one should use their influence for the benefit of many.
This project is a testament to an emerging trend among Philippine fan clubs, where fandom is not only about adoration but advocacy as well. As both David and Barbie continue to harness their influence to promote worthy causes, their followers are demonstrating that they can also be effective champions in fueling change.
