Cambodia Unveils 200,000 Jobs to Boost Returning Workforce

    In an encouraging development for Cambodia’s workforce, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has announced nearly 200,000 job openings across the country, providing timely opportunities for citizens returning from Thailand.

    Prime Minister Hun Sen highlighted the positive employment outlook in a Facebook post dated August 9, 2025, stating that 189,493 positions are currently available across enterprises, factories, and institutions in 25 capitals and provinces. The openings aim to support returning workers as they reintegrate into the local labor market.

    The distribution of jobs across provinces reflects a broad spectrum of sectors and roles. Leading the list are Kampong Speu Province with 45,931 vacancies, Phnom Penh with 42,478, Svay Rieng with 21,925, Kandal with 14,978, Kampong Chhnang with 13,030, and Takeo with 11,758. Additional opportunities are available in provinces such as Sihanoukville, Kratie, and Ratanakiri, offering diverse options for job seekers in multiple industries.

    Prime Minister Hun Sen reassured citizens of the government’s commitment to employment and economic growth. “We are committed to facilitating job placements and contributing to the construction of a better future for all Cambodians”, he said, emphasizing the focus on improving livelihoods nationwide.
