Clark Aviation Campus Takes Off with CIAC-CAAP-PhilSCA Alliance

    • Clark International Aviation Campus launched through PhilSCA, CAAP, and CIAC partnership to boost aviation education and innovation.
    • The new campus near Clark Airport aims to produce globally qualified aviation professionals, generate 13M jobs, and add ₱1.7T to GDP by 2038.
    • Tripartite MoU covers R&D, tech transfer, and student training as part of CIAC’s flagship vision for an aviation and logistics hub in Luzon.

The Philippine State College of Aeronautics, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and Clark International Airport Corp. entered into a memorandum of understanding recently to mark their cooperation in the establishment of the Clark International Aviation Campus at the Clark Aviation Capital.

“With this strategic partnership, we’re looking at the further advancement of our country’s aviation education, infrastructure and innovation. Our aim is to produce globally-qualified and high-performing personnel that will meet the strong global demand for aviation-industry workers and professionals”, CIAC president Jojit Alcazar said.

The Clark International Aviation Campus will have modern facilities with complete curricula, and will be strategically located close to the Clark International Airport within the government-owned civil aviation complex.

"The education of civil aviation in the Philippines requires an industry boost, beginning with high-quality and thorough pilot training courses, complemented by skills training in component and assembly manufacturing that will branch out to production engineering, purchasing and distribution. CAAP and PhilSCA shall be our allies in this endeavor", Alcazar added.

Alcazar, PhilSCA president Marwin Dela Cruz and CAAP director general Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario (Ret.) signed the MOU last Friday at the Civil Aviation Training Auditorium in Pasay City.

"When government agencies and academic institution collaborate, it will lead to something revolutionary. This is just the start of the same commitment to lead the Philippine aviation industry to greater heights", Del Rosario said.

PhilSCA's Dela Cruz averred that the envisioned aviation education center in Clark "will be able to generate about 13 million directs jobs in the aviation sector and around P1.7 trillion in GDP until 2038".

CAAP is a Department of Transportation attached agency mandated to oversee the Philippines' civil aviation sector to provide safe air transportation, among which are fields such as air traffic management, air navigation service, and airport operations.

PhilSCA, meanwhile, offers higher technological courses in the area of aeronautical sciences and aviation as the nation's leading aviation training center. The tripartite partnership involves research and development projects, support and transfer of technology and technical staff training and capacity-building and student internship.

Part of CIAC's Seven Flagship Projects, Clark International Aviation Campus will be home to Clark Aviation Capital the nation's future prime aviation-focused business and logistics hub at the center of Luzon.
